Of course, we know that Utah's young people will be the next generation to carry our state's flag. That's just one of the reasons why a new flag has to represent them.

Our kids will carry the banner

We’re inviting students, educators, families, mentors, and their youth partners to participate in the process of selecting our next state flag. Tell us which flag semi-finalist designs you think best represent the state today.

Education resources

Although much about our state has changed, we heard that the people and landscapes of Utah make our state unique. The flag semi-finalists each aim to connect with the following themes:

  • From the mountains in Northern Utah, to the red-rock bluffs in Southern Utah, Utahns are united about the unique geography and diverse beauty of our state.
  • Utahns are proud of our commitments to our community. These are reflected in service, hard work, and family.
  • Utahns connect with the innovation, economy, and industry of our state.
